It should be known that I watched this on a plane which might have affected my enjoyment slightly.

I always thought that I wouldn't like Twister. I heard that it was campy and I wasn't sure how they could make storm chasing interesting for 2 hours.

I mostly enjoyed Twister, although my predictions were correct. The camp is certainly present, but without it a lot my enjoyment would have been lost. Most of it surrounds parallels between romantic relationships and the chaos of tornadoes. Oddly enough, it works for me and it made the characters much more charming.

I was also right that a storm chasing movie has not reason to be 2 hours long. Chasing the first couple of tornados is thrilling, but there are so many across Twister's run time that the effect wears off pretty quick. The tornados actually held up really well and they were intimidating for sure,

Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt have excellent chemistry. Neither of them are actors I've seen much of, but they were highlights of this film for sure.

I don't know if I'd ever rewatch this, but I'm glad I finally got around to it. I might have to check out the sequel when it comes out.
