The father of Maria and the husband of the inhumanly murdered woman, loses himself seeking for revenge and suffocating his daughter with his obsessive behavior, not allowing her to live her life. When Maria shows interest for something in life, it's taken by the father away, thus showing her great importance to him and that she is all he has now. He is too caught up in his vengeful and violent emotions that he doesn't let her live.
