As the father of a toddler, this film justifies every last photo & snippet of footage I'm taking of my son.
As uncomfortable as parts of this are (I mean, she has a camera on her as she opens the unseen box of photos of her dead brothers, fergodsake. If I was there, I'd offer to leave her alone to process it), it's incredibly affecting to watch her break down as she realizes what a personal treasure she has in her hands.
She couldn't have titled this film anything else.
This is, from the half dozen of her films that I've seen, her best work. This film will almost certainly reinforce and change how I document my own life & that of my child. He deserves that chance, should he want it when he's older.
