This film is insanely corny, the plot has a couple holes and some of the characters are massively 2D - but that's the point. This is not a film you're supposed to overanalyse and pick apart. It's a hugely fun parody of 80s kiddie films with some brilliant gags.

Oh, and the practical effects are GOOD.
