Knowing what happened behind the scenes and considering it's reputation, I expected Curtains to be a very nonsensical and incoherent mess but honestly, I think it sustained a decent level of coherency throughout (besides the doll stuff, I still don't fully understand that). However, this is still a flawed movie. At times it feels like it can't decide whether it wants to be more of a giallo or more of a slasher, which makes sense because the director and producer had a similar dispute behind the scenes. I also feel the first half hour contains too many fake out scares. It's not all bad though, I did enjoy Samantha Eggar's performance and it does still have remnants of a great movie.
