I’m going to shock a lot of people with this but this is the only Harry Potter movie I have ever watched and I’ve seen it three times now and every time I watch this one, it makes me not want to watch the rest of them. I will say this time will be different and I will do a full Harry Potter watch through but that still doesn’t change the fact that the 1st installment of Harry Potter is mid as hell. The only part that I was entertained by was the chess part and the ending, all the rest felt like must filler. I know they are establishing a story but it is a bit of a drag. I also do feel like they make potter overpowered as hell for no reason, it doesn’t seem like he struggles that much at all with anything. I know he’s a legend and all but they made the character a bit bland besides the whole Disney princess family death thing. Hermoine is annoying and so is Weasley, the main characters are just a bit bland or annoying. The only exception is Hagrid and Snape. Loved those characters. I also felt Voldemort not being shown until the end was good, they made him an evil force but he was defeated so easily and stupidly, I know he’s not dead but still, it’s the principle. I’ll probably have to rewatch this sometime to see the series again but I’ll gripe about it.
