Warning: I completely dork out in this review, don't let this change the way you see me 🙏
It feels kind of stupid to say this may be my favorite documentary of all time, but it's hard to say otherwise when it had me fully convinced David Arquette was going to die (a man I fully know is still alive)
In the beginning it felt like David was in this for the sake of the documentary and to get his name back out there, but by the end he really finds a community and passion that almost seems to cure him. I'm truly inspired, David Arquette now holds a special place in my heart, and I've never loved wrestling more before watching this. What a beautiful documentary.
And not to completely dork out but the glimpse into the 2019 independent wrestling scene is really cool. Seeing guys like Ethan Page, RJ City, MJF, and who I think was Jacob Fatu go from working these small shows to currently working for the big companies is great.
And why did I never know 'Jungle Boy' Jack Perry is Luke Perry's son?!? I guess I like him a little bit more because of this film but still, an enemy to CM Punk is an enemy to me.
