The hodgepodge of ideas thrown into this film make for a huge amount of whiplash, but the overall enjoyment of it all comes from how lo-fi everything is. The acting isn't great, the writing quality dips in and out and has little focus, the slew of literary references don't always mesh well with the bible-thumping zealot group, but it's all worth it for an ending that is bloody and gory where you can tell everyone was having fun making it
