What really got me was the scene of the falling baby and the PowerPoint slideshow transitions

Part two of tonight’s double feature at the New Beverly. Appreciated Betsy Russell and Joseph Michael Cala coming out to speak before the film. 

I had no clue what to expect with the sequel but assumed that Angel would return. The recasting didn’t work for me. I didn’t dislike Russell but it just didn’t feel like the same character. This whole film was crazy and not really in a good way although I did have a good time watching it. The energy at New Beverly makes most films better in general. 

I’ll have to check out the other sequels now to finish the series. Apparently the director had wanted to make another before he passed away.

Pretty big fall off in quality from the first one. Betsy Russell kicks ass, but just about every character that returns from the first one is a caricature of themselves from the previous entry. Whole thing felt very low stakes.
