I feel rhe way towards this the way I do toward the other Pierre Etaix movies I've seen: the pacing is too slow sometimes, but when it lands, it LANDS. There tons of genious moments throught this pretty short movie, including some of the greatest sight gags I've ever seen. It's a shame how Etaix is left in obscurity as his works are some real (if pretty rough) gems.

Any fellow Jacques Tati fans (and if you have even heard of Pierre Etaix, you probably are) might also spot a cameo from the hotel manager from Monsieur Hulot's Holiday in the 3rd act.
