This is a movie where I have so much to say about it that i’m finding it hard to actually write it down. Right off the bat I will say this movie is dark, uncomfortable and brutal. The cinematography was so well done that it made me feel uncomfortable finding beauty in some shots. I’ve seen a few reviews calling this movie boring and I could not disagree more. So many small moments and details had the same weight to me as the more graphic scenes. Genuinely such an unnerving and unrelenting watch.  I will not watch it again. 

As of August 2025 James Vlassakis was granted parole, Mark Ray Haydon was released on parole in April 2024.

Well this was disturbing. I finally watched after seeing it mentioned so many times, and wow, what a gut punch. It’s slow, ugly, and way too real. Daniel Henshall plays John Bunting so well it’s uncomfortable to watch. This isn’t your typical horror flick as it feels like real life falling apart. The violence isn’t glamorized, just raw and haunting. Hard to rate a movie like with stars. ⭐️
