The Haunted Castle

So this is not a horror movie. At all. There's one less than a minute dream sequence (which is what the backdrop is taken from) that could be horror but that's it. And obviously not being a horror movie doesn't make a movie bad, but I was definitely disappointed since that was what I was expecting. It's more of just a drama / murder mystery. Not really that good for Murnau either it kind of dragged at some points. The murderer was also a bit predictable, though some of the other twists are not. To be completely honest I nearly felt like falling asleep during the second half.

Largely uninteresting, and only worth watching if you're a Murnau diehard curious to see a pre-Nosferatu work. Some of the visuals are nice though.

How do you waste such an amazing poster on such a boring ass movie..
So this showed up on my YouTube feed last night, so I watched it.. and after an hour of boredom, I fell asleep with the television still going.. later being woken up by said TV with Alexander Nevsky playing.. a movie I actually want to watch haha.  

I honestly can’t remember much, it was a boring and dated who’dunnit mystery that left me with absolutely nothing, except wasted time.. Just thinking about it makes me bored.. I do know F. W Murnau likes his introspective and psychological dramas.. but I didn’t like this.. at all!
