I Want You Back
As the #1 fan of Horrible Bosses, I’m a sucker for scheming Charlie Day and a romcom that doesn’t skimp out on the com has a key to my heart. The execution of the slow burn really worked for me, and I chalk much of that up to how Day is always able to pull back on the comedy to balance the sincere when necessary. Also the best Jenny Slate has ever looked.

Call me crazy but there’s a ‘When Harry Met Sally’ charm to their chemistry, but Harry is a relationship guy and Sally’s ambition has stagnated. My main complaint is a good romcom with two unconventional leads and you don’t give us a kiss — lame! The ending reminded me of Wristcutters final moment BUT at least we saw them kiss earlier in the narrative.
