Funny yet tragic window into the plight of trying to govern under an occupation. It has a lot less to do with the mayor himself, and more to do with what the position of mayor would entail. Absolutely beautiful, does an amazing job capturing the idiosyncrasies of Ramallah and its people trying to navigate it. Incredibly well directed, every scene feels intimate and authentic.

I thought this was a really well done look into the municipal aspects of Palestine. It’s truly a shame that more wasn’t and still isn’t being done to help free that country.
