Cheaply produced, which isn’t bad, I just wish it was funnier. The campiness of it all is dragged down by how slow the pacing and editing can feel at times. The washed out, colourful lighting makes certain scenes an eyesore whereas in other scenes it comes across as charming and scrappy, like a macguyvered garage door opener that actually works. This film is unapologetically for the gays, for better or worse. The film only came out four years ago but looks so incredibly dated, but not in any sort of evergreen way. This does, however, mean that the physical blood and gore effects, though deliciously cheesy, feel visceral and gross. I’m still mixed on it all, but I know I had fun!
