Most people think they know the "McDonald's coffee case," but what they don't know is that corporations have spent millions distorting the case to promote tort reform. HOT COFFEE reveals how big business, aided by the media, brewed a dangerous concoction of manipulation and lies to protect corporate interests. By following four people whose lives were devastated by the attacks on our courts, the film challenges the assumptions Americans hold about "jackpot justice."

tort reform sucks!!! mandatory arbitration also sucks!!!
the title was very misleading though the hot coffee case was only discussed for like 20 minutes

had to watch for my legal class, but thought it was extremely educational. most of these cases I have never heard of, and I always like to learn more about the US civil law. I recommend everyone watch it because the contents of the film are applicable to anyone and everyone!

I mean, any movie that makes topics like tort reform and mandatory arbitration at least somewhat interesting has to get three stars, right? Right?
