Meeting the director tomorrow, so I had to check it out. I was worried the whole time it would turn into grizzly plus it dragged for me at times but still, seeing marine animals in their environment was so interesting. I loved the friendship the best. I found it so sweet !!

only men would have a son, be married and still speaks and cares more about a fuckass octopus than his own wife. 

(the form of the documentary isn't bad at all i just can't get behind why would a man be this attached to a fucking octopus, HOW did this win an OSCAR?)

he went after the octopus every day for a year, profited after her and made a name for himself over it. the least he could’ve done was save her from that shark who ate her arm! “i shouldn’t interfere” my ass, you already did it by existing there, all her instincts were kinda off bc of the lanky mammal who followed her most of her life. truthfully, what he had with her was pretty much a friendship, but pretty one-sided, since she made him big bucks and he couldn’t even drive away a small shark. pretty interesting and nice shots, though.
