girls, girls, girls (so sorry but that is a much better title than the loosely translated ‘girl picture’) is a story about a trio of young women who find heartthrobs, heartbreak, and heartburn over the course of three weeks.
the girlies are LIVING through teenage house parties, dance clubs, awkward sexual encounters, and uncomfortable family dynamics that never quite settle into the emotional support they’re craving, and so desperately needing. but the beauty of the movie is in the portrayal of friendship and first love. a true reminder that chosen family is a safe space to completely lose the plot and be shown the grace to try again. even through the stumbles and the fumbles, when curiousity ends and inquisitiveness begins? that’s living baby.
