Olympia Part Two: Festival of Beauty
A bit better than the first, mainly because it's shorter. Still 1h 44m of Nazi propaganda and athletic bullshit. Two of my least favourite things. Shite.

Olympia Part Two: Festival of Beauty
The diving segments were pretty solid. This was, to me, more dull than the first installment, but had some great moments like that. Breathtaking truly.

I also loved how that one Dutch horse refused to hope the fence into the trench.

Olympia Part Two: Festival of Beauty
The last time I watched this much mildly erotic slow motion footage of extremely muscular men, it was a Zack Snyder movie. Also, does this count as female gaze? Nazi female gaze? I hate the questions these movies make me ask...

Olympia Part Two: Festival of Beauty
Week 4 of 10 of 10 weeks of film history

The second part of Olympia is just a continuation of the previous part of the film so the review will stay short here but again the movie is engaging for what it is and the cinematography is incredible, just obviously has hints of the terrible things happening behind smiles in berlin at the time.

84/100

Fuck the Nazis part 2, but "Festival of Beauty" was just pure art and beauty. It is also quite an irony that she is the best female director lol
