Railroad Man
Beautifully shot, slow-paced drama.
A melancholic and tragic reflection on one man’s life – a life dedicated to work. The country’s path to economic growth and prosperity was paved by such devoted workers.

In a time when everyone tries to prove that they are not defined by their job, Railroad Man certainly feels like something from a distant past.

luka masa lalu tak selalu bisa disembuhkan, tetapi ia membentuk siapa kita. Penyembuhan datang bukan hanya dari menghadapi trauma, tapi juga dari menemukan makna dalam perjalanan hidup.

Nice to know that Japan also made corny heart warming movies that your grandparents would own as part of their small vhs collection. This would fit in so nicely between Angels in the Outfield and The Princess Bride.

oh to live in a place where it snows prettily (would be so much better if him being a bad father and husband got his karma other than being a lonely old man)
