*–I didn't need a nightgown! I never wear nightgowns!
[pause]
–I wear pajamas.*
Julia Packett, be the woman that you are!!! What a diva
The way they were having a serious talk about their past while William was looking like a Greek philosopher is hilarious
And Julia and Susan’s relationship is so touching and cute

“don't be a fool. julia's my wife.”
“she may be your wife, but she's my fiancée!”
i genuinely loved this film so much. it was so cute and funny and everyone was amazing in this. i loved the plot and the casting and the whole thing just felt like happiness idk how to explain it. it just made me smile. ngl i laughed so much watching this. it was beautiful.
greer garson carried the whole film on her back ofc cause she always does. she’s such a talented comedienne. i loved hearing her sing and the whole acrobatic scene at the theater place was hilarious. she’s just so adorable and talented and out of this world beautiful. she’s so underrated. girlie deserves more credit. her in the last scene when she was outside in the rain and the mud please i love her so much.
elizabeth taylor was adorable and sweet in this. i didn’t realize she was in this until she appeared on screen and i was like ofc she’s getting married again lmao. she’s so pretty it’s actually unfair. her with the bear was so funny.
walter pidgeon was amazing ofc. i loved him and greer together. all of there scenes were so adorable. i loved all their back and forth hating each other. well trying to hate each other haha. and i don’t really have any notes on peter lawford. he was just there yk.
anyway watch this or be destroyed :)

Elizabeth Taylor really was a prodigy. Unreal that she was 16 when this was released. You’re not supposed to be this assured in your performance when you’re 16.
Greer Garson is so delightful as well. Probably one of the most likable stars ever.

why do you think the word ‘girlboss’ starts with a G? it's because Greer Garson literally invented it 🙄
