Man, this was a pretty big letdown of a movie. There was literally nothing conclusive about it, it just kinda ended. It had 3 pretty distinct acts, act one wasn’t terrible, I do feel like killing off some of the tributes before the games started was really quite dumb. Act 2 was also pretty bad. The action was lacking, the characters were dull and uninspiring. I don’t even get why the 3rd act even exists, it also sucks. Making it a musical was a bold choice that was a pretty major swing and a miss. I wouldn’t have been against it but they pushed it so much. They made the girl’s character pretty unlikable and for some reason gave her a southern accent that she switched on and off. Super weird decisions made in this one. It wasn’t very good at all. Nothing really meshed or worked together. I’ll pass next time.
