Rough and brutal story. This docudrama is a hard watch but is done brilliantly telling the story of how quickly fear can cause the government to be given all power causing many innocents to suffer with no recourse. A story told repeatedly through out history regardless of nation so it will be easy to be appreciated outside of Canada. The camera work is also fantastic between the use of black and white and color to just so many great views of everyone in their cells or else where. And the performances are all so grounded and feel so sadly real of those that suffered. Great touching film, with a simple storytelling, worth a watch….but possibly just one watch.
