a very on and off movies, there were scenes i was pretty locked in and scenes where i couldn’t be bothered. i’ll give this one to de palma though, compared to his other comedies, this one did have some pretty funny moments.

Man idk I just didn’t find this funny, it’s so over the top, comedy is more subjective than anything imo and this didn’t make me laugh. It’s not a bad film I just didn’t like it.

a surprisingly entertaining entry in brian de palma’s filmography. i liked all of the characters and really enjoyed the story. it has a pretty good twist at the very end that’s forshadowed subtly earlier on which i thought was really cool. however, it definitely felt held back by some of its gags not landing and some racist bits that didn’t serve the plot in any way, but overall, i found it to be a pretty underrated de palma movie.
