“i’m not me when i am here. this place is going to kill me. i think i’ll probably just do it right there in the casino. i’ll tip the dealer, I’ll flash him a smile, and then I’ll blow my brains out. you know, people kill themselves in the casino all the time. and you know what happens? nothing. they just rope of the area. they clean it up, and everyone just keeps on playing. no one even notices.”
this movie is beautiful in every way. i absolutely loved how natural the camera work feels. it feels so nostalgic, like someone created a masterpiece for a college film class.
the friendship between jane and arthur is truly so touching, but i was not a huge fan of the two of them becoming anything more than platonic.
but i still loved it
