This movie has a phenomenal ending but holy cow the majority of this movie is so mid and bland It was like eating unseasoned chicken. The ending really was its only saving grace but it still can’t make up for the boring ass start and middle of it. It’s really a pretty generic and cliche movie besides the end. It would’ve been average at best. I also didn’t think the acting was overly good except the end as well. It’s almost like they pulled all the recourses there and forgot that they needed to make a 2 hour movie. I would say it is worth it to watch just for the climax but I definitely don’t think it would be worth it to rewatch.

i would say the only way this movie could have been better was if maggie had won that fight but then again that would not be true. the movie is not about maggie attempting to be the boxing world champion and failing, it’s about the beauty of maggie having the opportunity to fail in the first place. it sucks and it’s painful to watch but clint eastwood does a wonderful job of portraying that it’s unfair and it’s not how it should be but it is how it is and that in life is okay. maggie got her shot and that was enough, it had to be
