“Good bad” with the requisite stilted, ridiculous line readings and technical/budgetary shortcomings that are pretty funny. It’s also got a point to make and, like the best exploitation flicks, has a weird authenticity bordering on verite. Makes you want to eat and drink wine. The racial dynamics are... uh, yeah it’s complicated and there’s ambivalence/contradictions that have to be intentional but it’s still not great. Exploitation of a certain era, so go in knowing that.
