last time i watched this i was little not sober, and it made it hard to catch onto everything, but it felt way more clear this time. great watch. very chungking express inspired with the shaky running shots and the shots where the guy is watching her and he transports into the apartment. the ending was sad 😢, i just wanted the homie to get some sleep. also i need that blue sweater 🙏

Park Chan-wook is quickly becoming one of my favorite directors and this is only my second film of his that I’ve seen. Decision to Leave is a masterful blend of genre, consisting of conspiracy thriller, crime, drama, and romance. Can’t go without noting the cinematography, which was a cherry on top for this film’s already amazing characters and plot.

what a rush. loved not fully knowing what was going on then being able put the pieces together later. the movie doesn’t hold your hand, and for a detective film it works really well. extremely plot-driven, but done so purely to showcase how the characters react to the events onscreen — and those reactions are so realistic that the relationships in the film are enthralling. and the element of mystery in the relationships! the tension! my goodness i loved this
