You know when someone tells a cool story, or you see an incredible news piece on TV and someone says, “Wow, they should really make a movie out of this”?
If someone told this story, no one would say that. It’s genuinely banal, the kind of story I wouldn’t even bother telling a friend if it happened to me.
On a directorial level it’s dull, if not outright bad, since, for example, it’s never clear how much time has passed, or the music is either too loud or simply inappropriate, to the point of breaking suspension of disbelief in at least a couple of scenes.
