Pretty cool alien invasion movie where the aliens want to help. I liked when they talked about the people being ugly lol

Everyone in this movie is an idiot and pretty much all the promotional material is dishonest as fuck.
Still, I did ENJOY watching it. There's a lot of fun to be had overanalysing and poking holes in the plot.

First Japanese sci-fi movie in colour! the alien designs were absolutely awesome and I loved the first 40 minutes where we saw a lot of them, the scene with them all talking on the spaceship being the highlight for me! after they take the form of humans however it becomes less interesting and a fairly basic film, but still fun nonetheless. if it had more of the original alien designs I’d have for sure loved it more, but the ending is really funny too! overall, I’d recommend this to anyone really. very easy to watch and switch off your mind with some nice visuals and a campy atmosphere. glad to have seen it!

I think with such a ridiculous plot, I set my expectations a little too high. At the end of the day, it's kinda just your standard 1950s alien B-movie. It's not to say that the movie is bad in any way, it's fine and it does its job and there are things that I do like. The biggest thing I do like is the aliens because they are just silly guys. However, I do think we should have gotten more of them, especially in their true form and not just their human disguise because that truly is a really great design for them. I think the biggest drawback with this movie is that it kinda jumps around a lot in the story and it tries to elevate the suspense and it ends up kinda falling flat a bit, but nonetheless it was still an enjoyable watch.
