1.5 of these stars is for the monster itself, whenever we get to see its glorious practical effects, it reminds me of the first T Rex appearance in Jurassic Park oh so many years ago. Unfortunately we get some really sloppy story and bad CG when the monster is not animatronic that sour the experience.
