Everyone that is saying that this would never happen, the boy would never be in love with his bully and all the other things about gay brutality in film. I don't know if it's just because I have a little less in the brain than anyone else or there's too much of smth going on there, but I think that movies like this should be created, and I think this movie is a masterpiece. The actors are amazing, and the whole thing is beautifully arranged. The worst part about this is things like that happen in real. Yes, most probably the victim doesn't love the bully, but stuff like this, violence, internalised homophobia that results in bullying happens and I think the more people get conscious about the reality of gay people, the more they will see the cruelty of it all, the better.
