This might be one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen and yet, I still really enjoyed it. the story is just bizarre and very entertaining. Matsu is a very badass protagonist just by her scary looks. To be frank, the first 30 minutes is Matsu going through straight torture and the last 30 minutes are really, really fun. the entire prison sequence has some really funny and messed up moments. However, my favorite part is the final fight with Matsu. It's got fun blood and a really nice shot of a knife in the air while the Japan flag is in the background.
It's got a lot of those types of shots, and they are all pretty good. It also the scene with Yuki's death that almost made me cry. Impactful with its design and with her writing on Matsu's arm. I had a blast with this, and foreign films could become one of my favorite things to watch. I'm mesmerized by Japanese culture so I would love to watch more movies including it. A really fun watch for a short amount of time.
