❝She's not a demon. She's a goddess.❞

It's been a long time since I last watched Bulbbul, and it's still as visually stunning and haunting as I remember it being. As far as 'horror' goes, I'd say it's a little lacking in certain elements I'd associate with the genre, but the horror of Bulbbul's situation starting with her being married off until her awakening is almost too brutal to stomach. Apart from her, I don't think there's a single character I liked/rooted for, including Satya, who really reminded me of Jonathan Harker in 'Dracula'; cold and desperate to lead the hunt for the killer. As far as Gothic horror goes, this film is certainly up there, and if you haven't seen Bulbbul yet, I'd highly recommend giving it a watch.
