fuck bruh. i hated this shit!!!! And that’s coming from someone who adores Hostel and Hostel Part II (specifically the second one, a fantastic splatter house with some good commentary on the elite sprinkled in here and there).
but bro this third movie took the first two and just explosive diarrhea-d all over both. Absolutely no good gore, most of it is CGI or entirely off screen??? what??? the ending genuinely had me hooting and hollering because WHAAATTT. corny as hell.
The atmosphere completely takes away from the first two Hostels, the lighting is way too bright and none of it has that dingy gross warehouse feel to it. The entire scare factor around the original two is that you feel as though you are watching something that you should not be seeing. so what the fuck is this. Why is it so bright and flashy. I cannot. I was playing block blast at the end, that is how BORED it made me. Which is crazy that what is supposed to be a splatter house movie can make you bored, but here we are. Ugh. Unfortunately Eli Roth was right when he said that franchises get shitty after the second one.
