This movie RIPS, TEARS, GNAWS, and SHREDS

I had the absolute privilege of seeing this movie with the score performed live conducted by Fabio Frizzi himself. I tried to watch this movie by myself several times, but could never get past the fact that it seemed almost like a zombie music video rather than a zombie movie in the traditional sense that I was expecting. But seeing it performed live with the score totally changed the game for me. This movie is so fucking good and well choreographed and campy and gory. Several instances of having to shy away from the screen. Suspense built expertly with music and sloooow zombies. Shoutout to the Frizzi 2 Fulci band, they were awesome and even gave us a mini concert after the movie ended.

this was fine. i liked most of the special effects. goddamn that eye gouge! italians love putting in one extremely grody special effect. i have not seen the italian recut of dawn of the dead but buddy how was this a sequel. i know it's not meant to be a continuation in any sense but. LOL

is this commentary on how white dismissal of non-western religious and medical concepts eventually leads to death? or is it a straightforward "i don't understand voodoo as a religious practice so i am TERRIFIED?" it does not give me enough evidence in either camp

respect to the radio dude who kept reporting up to his death though!
