While watching this film it reminded me so much of the film titled the gay deceivers from the year 1969 except the only difference in both of these films is that the one i mentioned follows two heterosexual men going on to pretend to be a gay couple so they can get out of being drafted and then for this film it follows two men one being a heterosexual male while the other one was a homosexual male and it followed them going undercover as a gay couple as well to try and get some details on who is murdering these gay male models which i did tend to enjoy them both in their own ways especially this one because if there was something about the 1980s it’s they knew just how to make these whodunnit films where they try to actively get down to the case and crack it and this genre of film has got to be one of my all time favorites because they don’t make them as good as they used anymore like these old ones i also did love to see the relationship between both of the men grow overtime in the film because at first they were very much not to much fond of one another but you tend to see that relationship progress overtime and they eventually grow close and i’ve got to say that both ryan o’neal and john hurt did such great job of portraying both of their respective roles because the comedic lines between them were some of my favorite and then the mannerisms as well with how well they expressed themselves in this one like i’m not even gonna sit here and lie because i know that ryan o’neals character was very much a heterosexual male but by the very end of this film i did hope for both of them to end up with one another because they just did such an amazing job at having that chemistry with eachother and also the whole little part of ryan’s character telling john’s that he missed living with him and him cooking homemade meals for him then going onto to say that they should get a big house together and after hearing that how do you not expect me to not want them to end up together!
