thank god for the cast
plot was all over the place, slow burn unnecessary
liked the eerie small town detective thriller feeling

This movie wants to be True Detective so bad but it doesn’t provide hardly any mystery to some of the biggest parts. If this was a ten part mini series you could really get into the fields and the lore, maybe some background on the detectives and Jason Clarke’s random (seemingly unimportant and unresolved?) character. The story is there and the cast is there but the juice isnt.
