The flashbacks were all over the place, and they dragged the story down instead of building it up. There were moments that tried to be powerful, but they got lost in long, awkward silences and way too many nature shots. I kept waiting for something to actually happen, but it felt like the movie was more focused on being 'artsy' than telling a solid story. It had potential, but it totally missed the mark.

The way in which the movie was presented and structured felt a bit too dull, confusing and lifeless to be honest, like I know that it's probably intended for realism purposes but it doesn't make it any less of an uninteresting watch. The movie is advertised as the woman going into extreme lengths for her revenge but where exactly is the extremity that they've speaked of here? I expected something more brutal, invasive and visceral to the point where we feel like the main character is doing too much to which I would've preferred to see but really the only notable aspect is the male nudity shown on screen which was a solid subversive change but other than that, there's no extremes or uniqueness to it really. Performances and visuals were fine, but overall while it did have some shock value- the movie just immediately transformed into a drama snooze fest and dropped all it's intruiging aspects.

even though the movie was really confrontational, i still feel like it lacked any substance or emotion. there wasnt any real resolution, which might’ve been the point, but i still feel like it was kinda scattered and empty.
