I'll be honest, I don't know a lot about American history, and only decided to watch Lincoln because of Daniel Day-Lewis. And now that I have finished it, I can't say that I understood everything that happened. But what was crystal clear to me was that Abraham Lincoln was a good man (if I'm wrong please correct me), and the happiness displayed by the black citizens in the gallery when the vote was finalised made me tear up. The cast on the whole were really good (and I didn't expect to see so many familiar faces) and I loved the soundtrack by the legendary John Williams. While I don't think I'll be watching this film again soon, I do sincerely appreciate it.

Super film, porté par un superbe acting, pour raconter la petite histoire qui se cache derrière la très grande !

Je manque de culture pour apprécier se film à sa juste valeur, pour un ricain ca doit vraiment être un régal.

Même si j'ai trouvé ca de manière globale un peu long, il y a quelques séquences qui méritent d'être vue, si ce n'est pour le film en dans sa globalité

Waaay better than I remembered. I was wildly engrossed in the film's world and its storytelling process, not only because I have always had an interest in historical events but because I know that the individuals who are presented and the lessons that the movie provides are highly relevant even today. Daniel Day-Lewis (obviously) MVP.
