Welcome home
I'm home..
Such an endearing film on how love can change a person so much it make them throw away the past that holds them back and change for the person they love. And how love can be strong enough to find it's way despite the evils of this world.
A man who was deprived of all purpose and joy meets a blind girl that would forever change his life. Through Akari, Rui found a purpose to live life and find joy in having someone to serve and love. Rui loved her so much that not only did he change for her, he did all the little things that could help Akari. Even trying to die just for her.
The same goes for Akari, a blind girl just surviving everyday life because she has too. She can no longer pursue her passions and live life as it is due to her disability—but through Rui she's able to do all that, she was able to love life again.
***They filled each other's colorless life full of joy and color.

Akari and Rui's love was so pure and genuine it found a way get them together despite the circumstances that were put. So much yearning, sacrifice and longing for the love they had that it actually worked, they found each other again—they finally found the home that they once lost, they found each other.
I find it beautiful that after all of Rui's sacrifice for Akari literally trying to DIE for her. Akari can now take care of Rui with his disability ,the same he took care when she was blind.
