This was a really visually beautiful film with some memorable imagery, especially in the beginning but unfortunately didn't amount to much more than religious propaganda. After the first 15 minutes, the film takes place almost entirely in one location which could be cool except that the conflict for the rest of the film was incredibly repetitive trials of temptation that were hardly distinguishable from one another. The film just felt like it was regurgitating a story from the bible without providing a new perspective and as a result, it ends up with some arguably reactionary messaging on sex and worldly desires in general.
