Dave Not Coming Back
A very interesting documentary on a tragedy that surely holds some nuances and irony.

It's appalling to hear the story narrated by people who have actually lived it. I had already heard about this someplace else, but this is on a whole other level.

You can literally see the pain in the eyes of every single person who had to relive their traumatic experience in order to talk about it. I really wish for them to heal and find peace.

Personally I have not found the language used to be particularly hard to comprehend. But to be fair that might very likely be because I have already researched here and there those topics in the past.

Tik tok sent me down a weird rabbit hole while I was in jury duty and now I’m gonna watch a million documentaries like this
Such an insane story just like all of these are, truly so human at its most euphoric and horrific all at the same time which is just so insane
I’ll sit here all day and say that I have no idea how anyone could risk their lives for something like this but seeing people like Dave do give me a little bit of a different perspective in the fact that this just happens to be the thing or a hobby that he loved that also happened to be incredibly dangerous and if the thing I loved, like movies or weed, happened to be a life threatening hobby then yeah I would probably still feel a major urge to do that

A thrilling but difficult watch. I didn't even realise just how risky cave diving is or how hard resurfacing is before watching this.

Really beautiful shots and cool to see and hear from all the people who were there and see a much higher quality copy of Dave's tape. Wish the documentary went into deeper detail on the planning and accident recovery that Shirley had to deal with rather than just the impact of the accident.

Incredibly captivating and tragic account. Always been fascinated by cave diving, and this doesn’t diminish that, but really highlights how terrifying a hobby it is.
