It’s a step up from the second. The ending was better. Some of the stories were definitely better but some had very random elements in it and are ridiculous. This is nowhere close to being as good as the original, although the stories aren’t necessarily bad, they don’t really have much meaning. The stories being told while this man guiding a little girl somewhere does help with the creepiness of this film. I found many things questionable with some stories like the last one where it revolves around a thief that sucker punches people, he’s wanted on the news and somehow kills somebody with the sucker punch too. This is definitely not a go to horror movie but I’m gonna keep complimenting the first film.

Weakest of the three but enjoyable. Feels a little biting in the first two stories and then settles into a more generic rut. It’s a little odd, a little hokey.

Overall quality wise I'd say it's more consistent than 2, particularly in the tonal sense, but it's definitely lost some fun on the way. Cundieff's writing seems to have taken an unfortunate turn from hopeful rebel using these "tales" as a parable to encourage change, instead having seemed to pivot into a sense of defeat; and not too get too "woke", but with the current political climate in America, it's easy to see why/how that could have happened.
