Saw Cooper Koch on the cast list and went… yep.
It’s bad, but its heart may be in the same galaxy as the right place so it’s got some merit.
It has terrible direction but the camera was on Cooper Koch’s face a lot so the camera work gets a free pass. Since he’s an angel they attempt some holy angel lighting around him which looks nice, but considering how bad the rest of the production was I’m beginning to ask if god just lights Cooper Koch like that normally. He’s just there for the camp gay vibes. And he’s giving it his all. I wonder if Ryan Murphy saw this movie one night and went “MAKE THIS MAN A MENENDEZ BROTHER!”.
As I mentioned the production value feels non existent, I’m surprised they managed to get Chris Noth in this (who may be a monster irl but is the second best part of this movie).
Scenes have barely any foley in them, just dialogue. I’ve never noticed this much before but there’s barely any christmas or any holiday decorations up in many of the outdoor shots. Ghost frames, dodgey camera stabilisation. This movie is just rife with errors.
Now I find these on the depths of the internet but somehow my mum claims she’s seen this on Christmas 24. HOW? THIS ISN’T BROADCAST-ABLE?. It just shows that these channels have no quality control at all.
Someone in this decides it butcher the greatest christmas hymn of all time, “O Holy Night” and that is the ultimate unforgivable christmas movie sin. How dare they?. Especially in a movie revolving around gays. They don’t know the significance of that song.
I think the premise is good they just didn’t have the money to pull it off properly.
