maybe this looked like it was filmed with a disposable camera, and maybe the music was over-dramatic even when nothing was happening, and maybe the visual effects were absolute ass, and maybe some religious elements were incorrect, and maybe some scenes were hardly understandable...
but the vibes and the aesthetic were still there, and the soundtrack was good (of course), and they all looked absolutely stunning (especially mana), and above all i loved the mix of time accurate elements and more modern, visual kei elements : like the high heel chunky boots matched with the 1800s outfits, the makeup and közi's piercings, the bdsm elements...
i'd say i enjoyed it as much as i could and of course if it wasn't malice mizer, it would be ranked lower 🥀
