I was sinking further and further and just when I was about to run out of breath, something pulled me out. Something in the trees. A light.

 

A glow.I lost count of how many times I muttered to myself "this is my definition of an ideal peaceful life" throughout most parts of My first summer (2020). This is the 2nd ( the 1st is Portrait of a lady on fire) non-male gaze sapphic movie I've watched and I love it so much. I loved the characters and I see so much of myself in both Claudia & Grace. I wish to find a Grace in my life, but i also aspire to be like her. Honestly, i do not know if I'm her, wanna be her, or wanna be with her (LMAO). I don't usually re-watch movies, but I would definitely re-watch this one, because to me, it is the closest thing I can get to freedom and peace; to my own tailor made heaven that I probably won't ever get to.
