I love Japanese media but I hate when it uses violence against women in this way. That one scene really ruined this whole movie for me.

Just read the manga instead of this shitshow of a movie. I personally didn't like the manga as much as other people did, but I enjoyed the ending. The movie however, takes a completely different route, cuts out many important parts from the original story, throws random plot points together, and SOMEHOW did have to include one of the most questionable moments in the entire story instead of any other actually interesting part from the manga. This movie is such a mess, it's a waste of time to watch it.
