Dan's motto, "get the shot", lead the way to record mind numbing stunts while using every resource he could muster to develop what is now known as his "Self Help Film School".

watched both the fan film and the documentary for this and wow. absolutely incredible, never before have I been so inspired to go swing from a building or stand on a car. unfortunately if I did that. I would die. the costumes are actually dare I say really good, they have immense charm. I mean it’s so clear that everyone involved had a real passion for making this movie, whether it was the love of Spider-Man or just wanting to make something out of basically nothing. documentary also made me laugh out loud at several moments due to the absurdity of the whole thing , goes without saying the film did that too. my only real complaint is just the audio of the film, I don’t think id change anything else. 11/10 found my new favorite Spider-Man

Tom Cruise ain't got nothin' on Dan Poole!
Making a fan film this legitimate with just $400 and a cast and crew of his friends and one aspiring actor is a legendary feat. They were able to achieve practical, in-camera wallcrawling, web-swinging, web-slinging, pumpkin bombing, bat-glider flying, etc. all of which I didn't even think were possible!
It's a wonder no huge accidents occurred on set, but that's one thing that makes the making of this film so awesome! Actually swinging off of a skyscraper, without a safety harness, without a film permit, is NUTS. And hanging off the roof of a MOVING CAR???? RIDICULOUS!!!!

When everyone was asking Dan Poole why he would swing around a building or swing off of a fire escape, I felt that.
