The film has a goal and it accomplishes it. I am not informed enough to comment on the historical accuracy but although less exciting I prefer the older style of biopic (assuming I was not just told a bucket full of lies). And of course Paul Muni is good as expected.

Kinda what you'd expect from a classic Hollywood biopic about a notably important person for better or worse. Paul Muni shines as always, the production design is incredibly impressive, and the history itself is interesting and results in some memorable moments. But it's just not terribly compelling either as a film, and while I did learn a bit about Louis Pasteur and what he did, the information given feels limited to a few sentences in a textbook to me.
